Soap Nuts Giveaway!

picture-1Soap Nuts are an incredible green/natural product that continues to fascinate me the more I learn. God supplied us with a fruit from His creation that cleans our laundry with no additives! It grows on trees! Just a simple dried nut placed in a small bag and thrown into your laundry! I am in awe of how He beautifully supplies all we need without any harsh chemicals.

Soap Nuts clean effectively without the addition of softeners. 100% natural, chemical-free, frangrance-free, biodegradable and hypoallergenic. Extremely low cost per load! I love how you can convert these soap nuts into a liquid detergent or a powder detergent or just use as they are – whatever method you prefer. Soap nuts are definitely the most natural and frugal laundry detergent option on the market!

Read more about them in my previous post here.

NaturOli has donated twenty 5-load sample packs of their soap nuts to giveaway to our readers! Horray! Now you can have an opportunity to try out this wonderful product. So we will have 20 winners on this one!

I have tried two different brands of soap nuts, Maggie’s Soap Nuts & NaturOli. I cannot even compare the two. Maggie’s are packaged overseas whereas NaturOli’s are carefully inspected and packaged in the States (without any plastic, I should add). Maggie’s came to me all sticky in a plastic bag, with some broken, chipped nuts, whereas NaturOli’s were beautifully dried and carefully selected. No stickiness whatsoever thus a far superior product. Another bonus…NaturOli’s are more reasonably priced!

This sample pack includes enough soap nuts for approximately 5 loads, a small wash bag, and an 8 page introduction & instruction pamphlet.

Giveaway ends: Friday, June 12, 5:00 pm PST

Giveaway limited to US participants only.

I recently became an affiliate for NaturOli, as I highly respect this company, so if you make any future purchases of soap nuts, please consider purchasing through my links. They also sell high quality skin care products as well. That would be a blessing!

Now I am off to experiment with using soap nuts for various other household cleaning endeavors!

Increasing Fruits & Veggies in Your Diet

veggie-challengeMy little girl was such a good little eater when she was first starting solids. She would eat all the yummy homemade veggies Mommy would prepare for her without a complaint. Sweet potatoes, avocados, and squash were some of her favorites (and still are for that matter!). Now, however, she has grown a little picky! Is it possible to get children to enjoy salad? Can we get them to happily partake of some steamed vegetables?

I am joining with Laura’s challenge today to share on how to encourage our families to eat more fruits and vegetables. For all the superior nutrition that they contain, they surely need to be increased in everyone’s diet! You can’t get too much!

Titus is 3 months…

img_5878

At 3 months old, our little Titus man (Ty-Ty for short) is growing like a champ! My, how time flies! He is over 13 pounds now and is smiling and laughing all the way. He even is responding to being tickled. It is too cute for words. Unfortunately, teething appears to have hit us early this time, but he loves when mommy rubs his little gums. He has been sleeping through the night now since around 6 weeks. Horray! The Lord is Good! Here are some recent pictures for your enjoyment.img_5885img_5879img_5862

Moby Wrap Review

img_5706I love to be able to snuggle up with my newborn babies and see them fade out into oblivion as they cuddle on my chest; thus, I greatly love the Moby Wrap Baby Carrier!

With my first baby, I dreaded the thought of a crazy wrap or sling! But as I have grown in my mothering and learning to enjoy the simple things of life, baby wearing became more appealing. It’s so easy to get things done while soothing a fussy baby, that’s for sure!

I love the full support this carrier provides for my little one while keeping them perfectly snug and secure against my body. It’s just like I am pregnant again! My hands are completely free to do the tasks necessary around my home. This carrier has been particularly handy while juggling a teething little guy (yes, Titus has been teething away this past week – alas!).
