I am a 26 year old mother of 3 girls, and wife of going on 8 years. My husband and I have been through so much in the last 7 years. I have been a believer for as long as I can remember. I never imagined how much I would be, or even could handle being tested as much as I have been. I have survived. My marriage has survived through all the problems… and none of them have been anything of our own doing. And now with our third surviving child, I am content. But our home, on the other hand, is horribly out of control. I was never taught how to be a house wife. Never really prepared for the detail, and demand that comes with being a stay at home mom… It is very good to know that there are resources and support available to people like myself who have absolutely no clue what to do. Or how to do it. lol. Unfortunately, I am too late for the free Ebook. But I will keep looking. I am blessed by your blog. Thank you. :)

Oh no, I saw this wonderful giveaway last week but didn’t have time to comment over the week-end. Is it really over?

I want to read Seven Spiritual Habits of a Principled Woman
because I feel that sometimes I’m lead by the fanatic lifestyle I lead instead of by God. I like how it was called a “training handbook” as that is exactly what I need!

Hi! I picked Becoming an On-Purpose Woman because I really want to get my life and self organized. I have this precious time with my children and I want to better learn how to be the woman I am supposed to be.

I picked Wives Principles of Peace— Using the Wife’s Influence to Restore Peace at Home because as a SAHM I want to understand my role as a Godly wife and mother better. I have three teenagers and I have witnessed over the years how my mood and attitude move them and hey who couldn’t use a little more peace?

Thank you so much for your site!

    Lindsay,
I have been reading your blog for a few weeks now, and I really enjoy it-especially the recipes.

I have chosen Becoming an On-Purpose Woman because much of the time I feel like I’m flying by the seat of my pants!

    Thanks so much!

Hi. I have just found your site and I am really enjoying it. Keep up the great work.

My pick was “Becoming an On-Purpose Woman”. I know in order for the Lord to work in my life that I need to change things from the inside first.

  10. Kathleen February 23, 2008 at 6:23 pm #

    Lindsay,

I appreciate the practical aspects of your blog. :)

My pick is “Wives Principles of Peace”. Even though I’m still an unmarried young woman, I am the sole believer in a household that could be more peaceful…

On the other hand, if there’s another book that Lylah recommends for single young women, I’ll take that one.

    Dear Lindsay,

I found your blog around New Year’s and have been so encouraged by it ever since. (I admit, my jaw dropped in envy when I saw that you had made your own butter from raw milk (which is illegal here)… but I enjoy myself in other ways. ;)

I chose Power Prayers for Your Mighty Man because I have never read much specifically on that topic.. I want to be a greater spiritual support to my husband.

    Thanks!

I can’t get past Becoming an On-Purpose Woman – The BIG Guide to Mentor Women Biblically.

There are a few reasons I would like this one in particular:

I often have young women come to me as a mentor – I’m doing my best but could use some real help in this area! In fact, I could use a mentor myself.

I need help creating order in my home so that it can become Sanctuary. Her section called ‘The Centering Place’ sounds wonderful! It would be a real help.

I wasn’t taught this by my mother and have always felt behind. My entire married life I have struggled with how to be a Christian woman and have a nice home. I want my daughter to be better prepared.

    Thanks for this generous offer.

      Hello,

I am new around here. I have been poking around your blog for a little over a week now and have been blessed by it. I often feel like there are no more women out there who want their carer titles to be wife and mother. Thank you.

I chose the book “Wives Principles of Peace”. I have been married for close to two years now, and I still have some questions about what exactly my role is as a wife. I’m eager to hear what Peter has to say and to find some practical advice as well.

Thank you both Lindsay and Lylah.

I just found your blog this week, Lindsay, and have really been enjoying it. It was so neat to find someone with such similar interests. I chose Becoming an On-Purpose Woman. I have just been wrestling with the question of what it means to live my daily life in light of eternity and this seemed like a perfect fit! Thanks.

Lindsay, I chose the book “Coffee Talk,” which is about listening. I chose it mainly because I am about to start volunteering as a counselor at a crisis pregnancy center, and I would love to learn how to be a skilled listener! Thanks!

    Dear Lindsay;
Thank you for your blog. You are a great encourager to all of us SAHM. I have chosen as the e-book 7 Spiritual Habits of a Principled Woman. For quite some time now I have been praying to be able to find a way to organize myself better, to better serve my husband and my children. It is quite a struggle to put everything in the right priority and still feel that you are not been pulled in every direction. Thank you again.
