Middle of the night terror

Monday night we had ones of those shocking experiences…we were soundly sleeping in bed when we bulted upright at the sound of a large crash and broken glass at 3:30 in the morning. Do you know what thoughts were going through my head? Someone is breaking into our house!!!! Grab the babe and run!!

A few weeks back out privacy divider that separates our condo from the neighbors broke and fell over in a wind storm. What a lovely pickle we were in! Not only is it very difficult to fix due to the way it was built, but we have no where to place the thing in the meantime! Our deck is very small…We placed it upright against our black metal fence that lines the deck and placed our little deck table and chairs against it. We had to move it away from where it fell in order for the builders to inspect the damage. Guess what? We had another lovely wind storm and that divider came crashing down into our back window!!! Lovely broken divider and now a lovely broken window!

We couldn’t get back to sleep for over an hour, we were so startled and freaked out…

How fun! Can life get better? ;)

Once I woke in the middle of the night to a similar sound…it was a car crashing into a giant decorative rock in my front yard! :-( It is so awful to wake up to a crashing sound I know! Glad you are all ok!

That’s simply awful, Lindsay! I’m glad though, that everything is okay…Hopefully the fence won’t be too hard to fix…? :(

Ekk! That had to be quite the scare! Thank goodness none of you were hurt, and that the noise was not a break in. Hope you sleep better tonight :o )
