Merry Christmas!

I want to wish you all a very Merry Christmas and let you all know that I am blessed by you! Thank you for taking the time to read, comment, and share your heart here at Passionate Homemaking. Another year is almost complete and we look forward to 2011 where we will be moving forward in continuing to help build, encourage, and inspire you to be passionate in your homemaking!

We pray that you have a blessed holiday season! We will be taking a blogging break till the first of the year as we seek to keep a simple Christmas and focus on the beauty of our Savior’s birth. We will be moving December 31st, so we have some packing to do after Christmas and set up our new home in Portland. We thank you for all your support and encouragement! We will see you back here in the new year!

P.S. There will be two fun giveaways posted on December 29th & January 1st during the break – stay tuned!

This is an amzing photo of your beautiful family. :)
I feel like I should introduce myself after having benefited from so much of your work.
Being a homemaker is what I look forward to each day, I am so grateful! However, I don’t know many other women (especially my age) who are as enthusiastic about daily tasks and projects as I am, so your blog has been my friend. You have many of the same views on organization and food making as I do and it has been really fun to have a homemaking ‘buddy’.
I pray your family experiences even more abundance of his love and mercy this year.
Thank you so much for sharing with us and working to create a blog of excellence.
I am Amber, pleased to meat you! ;)

I just found your blog the other day and it is a huge encouragement to me. I am a believer, but my walk has been less than desirable lately trying to balance motherhood, college, my 3 small kids, my husband, and my faith. Through reading your blog, I am thinking more about what I want for my family. Not monetarily, but for their hearts. My husband and I live in NE Portland and I would love to meet up with you sometime. I need some like-minded young mamas to hang out with :) . Thanks for writing from your heart!

I love your blog and find lots of encouragement (and conviction!) in my walk with Jesus.

I know that a little while back, you asked for feedback and I didn’t answer at that time. But for my two cents- on the right sidebar, the bottom box shows the “most popular” postings from the blog. It used to have a variety of topics- it reflected what was popular. I remember that the post about “Blogging Can be an Idol” was the number one spot for a long time. The deodorant recipe was also listed, However, recently that changed- I am guessing that it must use number of comments to determine popularity- because now all the “popular” choices are the give-away posts. While give-aways always get a TON of comments, they don’t really reflect the tone or popularity of your blog to a new reader. I don’t know how you could fix that, but I just wanted to let you know how I viewed it.

Thank you again for such an excellent blog! Happy homemaking in 2011! And congrats on the new one coming! I can’t wait to hear how God will bless you through another pregnancy :D

Your holiday photo is beautiful. I also wanted to take a moment to also completement you on your hair. I also have curly brown hair and I am interested in knowing how your curls are so “bouncy” looking. This may sound odd, but I hope you understand having curly hair of your own. I love the look of your hair.

Merry Christmas to you and your family, Lindsay! This blog is a blessing and inspiration to me. Thank you for all the work you put into it for those precious babies in Cambodia! May God give you peace and patience during this break. I know moving is crazy – if I didn’t live in Oklahoma I’d offer to help :-D But I’ll be praying for ya.

Thank you for all the time you put into your blog. I know how difficult it is to blog with little ones running around…you have an awesome idea and someone spills something in the other room. When you get back, it’s gone…then the cycle repeats itself (it has taken me 5 minutes to write this comment)! Anyways, you have wonderful ideas and are very inspiring! Your love for Jesus shines through in all your posts and you sure have inspired me to be Passionate about my Homemaking! Merry Christmas to you!!!
